Using Navora
What does Navora actually do?
It gives you a college list with the real admissions numbers attached — how many people applied, how many got in, what the middle range of test scores was — so you can see where you sit rather than guess. It also keeps your essays, deadlines and requirements in one place.
Is it free? What's the catch?
Free for the 2026–27 application cycle. No paid tier, no premium, no trial that ends. No college pays us to appear, to rank higher, or to be shown to you — that independence is the product, so selling it would leave us with nothing to sell.
Where do your numbers come from?
Each college's own Common Data Set — the standardised report universities publish about themselves. Every figure on a college page is labelled with the year of the file it came from. We cover 1,582 colleges.
A number here doesn't match the college's website. Why?
Usually the year. A college's marketing page often shows the newest figure while its Common Data Set for that year is not out yet, so ours is labelled with the older file it actually came from. If the years match and the numbers still differ, that is a bug and we want to know — tell us and we will check it against the source.
What does 'within range' mean? Is it a prediction?
No. It is a comparison, not a forecast. It says where your numbers sit relative to the cohort a college reported admitting — nothing more. We do not calculate your odds of admission, and you should be wary of anything that claims to: admissions officers read essays, context and recommendations that no model sees.
Can Navora get me in, or guarantee anything?
No, and nobody honestly can. We are an instrument you use, not a counselor and not a substitute for one.
How do I get reminded about a deadline?
Open a milestone on your timeline and switch on Remind me. We email you before it is due, to the address on your account, and only for the milestones you switched on.
Essays
Will the coach write my essay?
No — not a draft, not a paragraph, not a sentence, not a suggested phrase. It asks questions about what you have written and points at what is thin. The words stay yours, which is the only way the essay is any use to you or honest to submit.
Is using it allowed by colleges?
Policies differ, and we show each college's own wording with a link to where we found it. Some are restrictive; a few bar AI help beyond grammar entirely. The certification you sign on your application is what governs, so read the ones that apply to you.
Privacy
Who can see my profile?
Only you. Sharing with a parent or counselor is switched off — not unfinished, off — until we can tell you in advance exactly which fields a recipient would see.
Does anyone pay you for my details?
No. We do not sell or share student data, and no college pays for placement, ranking or visibility.
What AI do you use, and does it train on my work?
Anthropic, and only Anthropic, for anything of yours — your profile, documents, essays and advisor questions. It is deleted there within 30 days. Nobody trains a model on your work: not us, not a provider, not on a de-identified copy.
I'm under 18. What's different?
Analytics stay off — not off-by-default, off. You are never added to an analytics profile. Under 13 cannot use Navora at all: we ask your date of birth at signup, and an under-13 account is deleted immediately rather than flagged.
How do I delete everything?
Settings → Delete account. It removes your account and everything in it, and you do not have to ask us or wait for us.
I'm a parent. How do I see or delete my child's data?
Email privacy@getnavora.net and we will act on it. Your child can also delete their own account at any time, without asking us.
When something is wrong
I signed up and nothing happened, or I can't get in.
Tell us the email address you used and roughly when you tried — the contact form works signed out, which is the point. Sign-in problems are the one thing you cannot report from inside the product.
My school isn't listed.
Send us the name and city. Missing schools are usually a gap in our directory rather than anything you did wrong, and we add them.
A number looks wrong.
Please tell us which college and which figure. We check it against that college's own Common Data Set and fix the source, not just the page. This is the most useful message you can send us.
